First Aid at Work Requalification
A two-day renewal course for existing FAW certificate holders. Must be completed before your current certificate expires to maintain continuous certification.

Who is this course for?
- Existing FAW certificate holders whose certificate is approaching expiry
- Workplace first aiders needing to renew their qualification
- Those who completed FAW within the last 3 years and need to maintain current certification
What the course covers
- Review and update of all core FAW competencies
- CPR, AED use and resuscitation refresher
- Management of unresponsive casualties
- Bleeding, shock and circulatory emergencies
- Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
- Burns, scalds and eye injuries
- Medical conditions: anaphylaxis, diabetes, asthma, seizures
- Changes to first aid guidance and practice since previous certification
Certification & Validity
Candidates who successfully complete the requalification course receive a renewed NUCO FAW certificate valid for a further 3 years. The requalification must be completed before the existing certificate expires. If the certificate has lapsed, the full three-day FAW course must be retaken.
