About Site Safety Plus
The SSP Site Safety Plus suite of courses is operated by CITB and provides the building, civil engineering, and other allied industries with a range of courses for people seeking to develop their skills and health and safety understanding in their respective field.
These safety-led courses typically run alongside a relevant CSCS card. For example, someone undertaking the HSA Health & Safety Awareness course may need to obtain the Green CSCS Labourer card, or a Foreman may hold an SSSTS as well as a Gold Supervisor CSCS card. Any candidate requiring a CSCS card may need to undertake an NVQ as an addition to an SSP Site Safety Plus course; this NVQ acts as evidence of their occupational experience.
